Good evening, Malden. It’s us, your friendly neighborhood Admins! Thank you so much for continuing to engage with us and one another. We’re going to get right into the ways you can take action to make a difference this week:
ACTION ITEM 1: Bread of Life Food Pantry Needs Your Help Friday 3/27
Volunteers are needed to help at Bread of Life’s food pantry on Friday, 3/27, 12-4pm, preparing bags of food to be distributed to families.
Because the situation is changing quickly and much needs to be done, volunteers are being asked to call Thursday 781-397-0404 (12-4pm) to check schedule status for Friday and find out how you can help.
For ongoing updates on hours and volunteering needs, keep up with them on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BreadofLifeMA/
Bread of Life Food Pantry is located at 54 Eastern Ave., Malden: https://goo.gl/maps/z4KT4X73N2aGCGgg6
ACTION ITEM 2: Visit Our Website – MaldenNeighbors.org
Today, we launched a website: MaldenNeighbors.org
While we’ll also be here on Facebook, the MaldenNeighbors.org website will be our hub of operations. We will provide important updates, receive requests for assistance and offers to volunteer, and link you to other helpful sources of information as the Covid-19 public health crisis unfolds.
ACTION ITEM 3: Keep Boosting the Signal!
Thanks to your engagement and willingness to engage your friends and family, we surpassed 500 members in our Facebook group today. The outpouring of offers to help have been truly amazing, and members of our organization are in the process of reaching out to each of you individually to have a more in-depth conversation and figure out how you can get involved.
Please share the website (MaldenNeighbors.org), the Facebook Page, and encourage anyone you know in a vulnerable population to get in touch for help (even if it may be a future need).
